The success of Enfants de Klang Leu (EKL) relies on rigorous governance & transparency and the total commitment of our teams. Whether within our local team in Cambodia or among our Board of Trustees, every day everyone gives their all to make our actions in the field a reality and make them last.
As a nonprofit helping child development, we prioritize clear management to ensure every resource effectively supports the vulnerable children of Sihanoukville.
The board of trustees Our volunteering leaders
Enfants de Klang Leu is a non-profit organisation created in 2006 and managed by a Board of Trustees that works closely with the Centre's team in the field. They participate in decisions relating to the association's finances, human resources, and projects implemented in the field.
Gwennaëlle Delbard
President
Gwennaëlle has lived in Asia and had the opportunity to visit Klang Leu to learn about the projects being implemented there. She now lives in Brest, France, and manages the administrative side of the association's activities.
Fabienne Hankard
Secretary General
Fabienne lives in Singapore and has been actively involved with the association since its creation. Graduated in Psychology from Bruxelles university. Our secretary works as a psychologist specialising in systemic therapy, hypnotherapy and EMDR, and supports individuals, couples and groups in their personal and professional development. A regular presence at the Centre, she manages relations with sponsors, field activities, fundraising and relations with volunteers.
Florence Massardier
Treasurer
French, Florence has been travelling the world for more than two decades. Graduating from IAE Poitiers Financial controller, she began her career at CEGID in Lyon, where she trained professionals on management software. Florence has been managing all accounting and financial aspects since 2019. Before taking on the position of treasurer, she previously volunteered in Singapore for EKL and Krousar Thmey (2015-2019). In China, she was Treasurer of Change For Life (2009-2012) and helped disabled children with the Beijing International Committee for Chinese Orphans (2008-2012).
In Cambodia Our local team in Sihanoukville
The running of the EKL Centre in Cambodia relies on the dedication of our local team, mainly made up of eight full-time Khmer members. They are the heart of our operations.
Management, Coordination and communication
Samrith Keo
Co-manager
Cambodian, trained in Business Management at the university of Sihanoukville, has been running the Centre since the Covid-19 pandemic. Samrith plays a key role in the day-to-day supervision and management of the Centre. She manages the administration, coordinates projects and liaises with local partners. Her in-depth knowledge of the Cambodian context and her extensive local network give her a detailed understanding of the children's needs and the specific challenges of the region. Before joining EKL, she was a project manager and deputy headmistress in various educational institutions in Cambodia. She is in direct contact with families for all social issues and crisis management.
Patricia Arrizabalaga
Projects Manager (VSI)
Franco-Spanish, in professional conversion after a career in market research and then training, she has training as a Humanitarian Project Coordinator at Bioforce. Under the status of International Solidarity Volunteer (VSI), Patricia works across operational, strategic and educational areas, with the mission of strengthening coordination, boosting synergies and supporting the Education programme.
Roda Operman
Head of Communications and Sponsorship
A native of Madagascar, graduated with Marketing Strategy from IAE Poitiers and INSCAE (Madagascar), Roda manages communications and sponsor relations. Having held this position for many years in Madagascar, she is now on a VSI mission. She plays a key role in increasing the association's visibility and ensuring ongoing support for our projects.
Educational and Pedagogical department
To support our mission as a nonprofit helping child development, we collaborate with internal staff and external teachers for specific activities like sports or computer courses.
Tevi Chhim
Head of Academic Support and Creative and Artistic Activities
Cambodian, trained in social work, Tevi coordinates and leads educational activities and provides personalized tutoring in Khmer and mathematics. She also enriches the children's experience by organizing recreational activities like singing and traditional dance.
Sopha
Head of Tutoring
Cambodian, a former child who was welcomed at the Centre 12 years ago, Sopha is now a Human Resources student at the University of Management and Economics in Sihanoukville on weekends. During the week, he provides academic support and prepares students for exams, setting a fine example of success for the younger children.
Bora
Teacher
He leads introductory computer classes, teaching children practical skills needed. His expertise also provides support in mathematics for middle school and high school students.
Health, nutrition and hygiene
Our governance ensures that the basic needs of children—nutrition, hygiene, and safety—are met with high standards.
Li Daya
Catering Manager
A Cambodian national, responsible for food purchasing and meal preparation, Li-ya ensures children receive breakfast, lunch, and snacks. She prepares meals with fresh, nutritious food from the market or the Centre's kitchen garden. She scrupulously ensures hygiene in the kitchen.
Sopheak
Maintenance and hygiene manager
Cambodian, Sopheak maintains the impeccable cleanliness of the Centre. She closely supervises the children's personal hygiene, including tooth brushing, contributing to their daily well-being.
Nou Neang (Viva)
Security, maintenance & garden
Viva ensures the Centre runs smoothly by managing security and maintenance. He manages tuk-tuk travel to ensure the safety of the children and the team. He also manages the vegetable garden, running gardening workshops to raise the children's awareness of sustainability.
